Northland Quilters July Newsletter

Hello everyone in the Northland. The heat and humidity have been awful. Some of us went on vacation to a cooler, better place and some—like me—went to the basement. Either way, we have some wonderful things to show you in July!

Janice has been busy doing butterflies and finishing her Stain Glass Quilt.

Marguarite has tried out some new Christmas designs on sweatshirts. It’s never too early to start those Christmas packages. She always does such a great job on her tea towels as well. This one has a Christmas cookie on it.

Barb is into the holidays too. She has a Christmas and fall table topper/wall hanging to show us.

A beautiful strip quilt by Madeline was brought in. Great job! Strip quilts are so fun to make.

Ilene’s been at it again in her sewing room. A paper piecing serpent from Tulla Pink, an adorable penguin baby blanket and book. Lastly a fantastic elephant application.

Mary brought a fancy pinwheel quilt to show us. Wow!! It is just gorgeous.

Doris finished her Double Bargello and it is magnificently stunning. I love the colors. I was with her and five other quilters as we tripped across Missouri for Doris to pick out those colors. So I feel some ownership in the colors of your Bargello. Haha!!!

Linda has baby bibs with their names on them. They are so adorable and cute. You can’t go wrong with baby bibs.

Until next month, stay cool Northland Stars!
